Reconnect With Fellow Veterans

As we celebrate Independence Day, I find myself thinking about the men and women who have sacrificed so much to protect the freedoms we enjoy.

My stepson is currently serving as a Private in the United States Army. That brings a mixture of pride and worry. As our country celebrates the Fourth of July, his unit is stationed less than five miles from the site of the latest terrorist bombing in Baghdad. It is an unsettling reminder that while many of us gather with family and friends, countless service members continue to serve far from home under dangerous circumstances.

Military service has always been an important part of my family’s history. My father served during the Korean War, and my uncle served during World War II. Like so many military families, we understand the sacrifices that come with answering the call to serve.

reconnect with fellow veterans

One of the most rewarding parts of our work is helping veterans reconnect with fellow veterans and family members they have lost touch with over the years. Whether decades have passed since serving together or life has simply taken people in different directions, many veterans still hope to reconnect with the friends who stood beside them during one of the most meaningful periods of their lives.

Unfortunately, as time passes, locating former service members becomes increasingly difficult. People relocate, change their names, switch phone numbers, or simply disappear from public view. Fortunately, professional investigative resources and advanced locate techniques can often succeed where a simple internet search cannot.

If you are hoping to reconnect with fellow veterans, locate an old Army buddy, or find a military friend or family member you’ve lost touch with, we’d be honored to help. There are few things more meaningful than helping reunite people whose shared experiences created lifelong bonds.

This Independence Day, we extend our deepest gratitude to every veteran, active-duty service member, and military family who has sacrificed for our country.

Happy Fourth of July, and thank you for your service.
